Calling All Welders and Folks Working Outside -- Even in the Rain

Posted by

If you have to be out and about, and you work with markers in some industrial way, keep in mind that Sakura Solid markers can be used in the rain. Their Original Formulation Solidified Paint Marker marks through dust, rust, and water. So if raindrops are falling on your head, and you need to make a mark on a smooth or rough surface, it will be dry within minutes even if you aren't. And it's permanent--it won't fade or wash off like chalk.

AND!!! CALLING ALL WELDERS! These will resist burn off and keep template marks from disappearing, even when in proximity to the welding torch tip. Notate Pre and Post heat temperatures directly on the base and weld metals without vaporizing the markings. On surface temperature below 392 F the opaque marks are clearly visible. At temps about 392 F the color pigments burn away, leaving a visible after-mark.

This tough and versatile marker comes in both 13 mm and 10 mm sizes. Both original and slim markers can be trimmed with a knife for smaller marks. They can be removed with an alcohol based cleaner and scrubbing from non-porous surfaces, and you have eight colors to choose from. Leave the fluorescent colors alone for this kind of job. They reflect under UV and offer higher visibility in low light conditions, but they are not fade resistant.

Ok, so you're ready to get out there and make your mark, but YIPES! the temperatures are heading ...well, into a range comfy for polar bears. Relax. The temp range for the Permanent Solidified Paint marker formulated for Cold Temp Environments will stay with you from 100C to -40C. BRRRR that's cold. These markers mark at any angle, sideways or upside down, and with no dripping. The 13mm tip is smooth and ready immediately, and it also can be trimmed with a blade. These are certified non-toxic.

Cold Temp markers come in six colors and are waterproof except on glass. Call for details. 800-970-7367.

Also, I recommend a raincoat, umbrella,  or a hat with a brim. (ok, I admit I'm smiling.)
